Titans: Audition Tapes Released

Audition tapes for DC Comics’ live-action take on Beast Boy have surfaced online, revealing some of the actors vying to join the cast of the Titans television show. It seems that an Asian actor will be tapped for the role.

In recent weeks, Titans has been steadily adding to its cast. Recent announcements included the casting of the show’s previously announced Titans characters Nightwing, Starfire, Raven, Hawk and Dove. This leaves one big player from the roster left open, though that could change soon.

Omega Underground published the audition tapes, the majority of which saw actors trying out for the role of Beast Boy. Who are the hopefuls? The audition tapes include Nathan Policarpio, Oliver Adkins, Diego Josef, Zach Heto and Louis Le. None of the actors are veterans in the industry, though Josef has appeared in Amazon’s Goliath.

The character breakdown released recently for Beast Boy reveals a little about the role, which is sure to be filled and announced sooner rather than later:

“[JAX]Male, Mid-late teens, Open Ethnicity, Asian preferred. Funny and charming, this amateur thief’s humor hides his insecurities and past pain. Not the toughest kid on the streets, he’s learned to survive in the world with his wit and quick-thinking… SERIES REGULAR.”
