Only five days after its release, Webtoons ambassadors release motion comic dubs of the highly successful Batman: Wayne Family Adventures.
Multiple motion comic dubs of Webtoons’ Batman: Wayne Family Adventures have emerged, less than a week after the highly successful webcomic debuted.
The animations are all produced by voice actors and ambassadors assigned to promote Webtoons content. One of the earliest versions, adapting the first episode of the comic showing Duke Thomas moving into Wayne Manor, was shared by voice actor Ruka Samuels.
Another, also adapting the first episode, was shared by Malina Rose. The exact date of Rose’s full dub has yet to be revealed, but Rose posted a sneak peek showing the comic’s first panel transformed into an animated 45-second teaser, and said that voice actor Tom Schalk would play Bruce Wayne. Schalk tweeted that “the entire team involved with this are SO damn hard working and talented.”
Samuels praised Rose’s version and explained on social media that “there are various ambassadors and influencers who are assigned content from Webtoon.”
“We don’t usually know what the other gets, so it’s safe to say that there are likely to be multiple versions of some things!” Samuels wrote. “Especially for epic collabs like this!”
A third animated dub, produced by voice actor Ronald S., adapted episode two of the Webtoon, which features the Bat-Family fighting over a cookie at the dinner table. Ronald S. voiced Red Hood and tweeted: “It’s always been my DREAM to voice 1 of the Robins since I was 6. If I could tell him he’d actually get the opportunity to do it, he’d never believe me.”
Batman: Wayne Family Adventures launched in early September as the first in a series of officially licensed Webtoons utilizing DC characters. The comic’s slice-of-life portrayal of the Bat-Family has won acclaim, and it is currently one of the most popular comics on Webtoons, with nearly 500,000 followers.
