Deep…I know. And one can only hope to stay as youthful at heart as this retired elderly couple who dress in elaborate Cosplay costumes and attend everything from Comic-Con to Disney World bringing smiles to the masses. Steven and Millie Tani from Southern California have been married for over 27 years but only learned about their passion for Cosplay 3 years ago when they were looking for Halloween costumes and realized how much fun they had playing dress-up together. What started out as a fun night blossomed into a passionate hobby, and they haven’t stopped dressing up since. According to the Tanis, the outfits take them up to two months to create as they piece together each costume with whatever items they have at home, and if that’s not enough, they sift through thrift stores or websites like eBay and Etsy. 2 Steven and Millie Tani These days the adorable couple participate in various cosplay events. “We are both basically very shy and introverted individuals, so when people started to ask to take pictures of us in our cosplays, we were first taken aback by the attention we were getting,” the couple told Mashable. 3 Steven and Millie Tani “We [also] weren’t sure how people would react to us as an older Asian couple … but many have welcomed us and … we are feeling more comfortable and have gained more new friends.” 4 Steven and Millie Tani 5 Steven and Millie Tani 6 Steven and Millie Tani 7 Steven and Millie Tani 8 Steven and Millie Tani 9 Steven and Millie Tani 10 Steven and Millie Tani 11 Steven and Millie Tani 12 Steven and Millie Tani 13 Steven and Millie Tani “We will continue with this cosplay adventure while our health holds up. We don’t want to sit around in rocking chairs, as we want to enjoy our golden years and live life to the fullest. It’s almost a 24/7 labor of love coming up with new cosplays, so hopefully, we can squeeze in another 10 years.” 14 Steven and Millie Tani Via Facebook, h/t Boredpanda Source link Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Pinterest Share on LinkedIn Products You May Like
