Shaman King Reveals New Cast Info and Intense Visual! | Anime News


Currently airing fantasy anime Shaman King has revealed new cast info along with an intense new visual for its upcoming Shaman Fight Main Tournament arc!

Katsuyuki Konishi ( Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba ), who is currently voicing Amidamaru, will also take on the role of John Denbat. Konishi also played Amidamaru in addition to Luchist Lasso and Blamuro in the original 2001 TV anime adaptation.

Other cast members voicing additional characters include Takumu Miyazono as Porf Griffith, Tsuguo Mogami as Chris Venstar, and Wataru Takagi as Cebin Mendel.

New cast members include Kosuke Takaguchi as Larch Dirac and Mariko Nagai as Meene Montgomery.

Based on Hiroyuki Takei’s hit manga of the same name, Shaman King follows young shaman Yoh Asakura as he battles to become Shaman King, which will grant him the ability to contact the Great Spirit and thereby remake the world in accordance with his wishes. To do this, he needs to prove victorious in the legendary Shaman Fight, which is only held once every 500 years.

Shaman King’s Shaman Fight Main Tournament arc begins from episode 18, which will premiere in Japan on August 13.
