Harley Quinn Star Kaley Cuoco Hypes the Show’s New Tie-in Comic

Harley Quinn star Kaley Cuoco encourages fans to support their local comic shop and pick up the animated series’ new tie-in comic book.

Kaley Cuoco — who stars as the eponymous anti-hero of HBO Max’s Harley Quinn animated series — is encouraging fans to support their local comic book shop and pick up the show’s new digital-first tie-in comic, Harley Quinn: The Animated Series: The Eat. Bang! Kill. Tour.

On her Instagram story, Cuoco shared a photo of herself reading an advance physical copy of The Eat. Bang! Kill. Tour #1. Physical copies of the issue are currently slated to hit comic shops on Tuesday, Sept. 14. However, the comic is also available digitally right now through DC Universe Infinite — which is fitting, seeing as how the Harley Quinn animated series was originally a DC Universe exclusive before jumping ship to HBO Max. The Eat. Bang! Kill. Tour will run for a total of six issues.

“Harls/Ivy fans, peeling out of S2 is the Harley Quinn: The Animated Series – The Eat, Bang! Kill Tour comic,” Cuoco wrote. “[I]t’s got action, romance and everything in between,” the Big Bang Theory alum continued. “[P]ick up issue #1 at [your] local comic shop or DCUI subscribers can read it digitally today!”

Harley Quinn: The Animated Series: The Eat. Bang! Kill. Tour is set after Harley Quinn Season 2, and before the upcoming Season 3. It finds Harley and her new girlfriend, Poison Ivy, on a road trip following the events of the explosive Season 2 finale, which saw Harley and Ivy ride off into the sunset after Ivy and Kite Man’s wedding fell through.

Starring Cuoco as Harley and Lake Bell as Ivy, Harley Quinn originally hit DC Universe in November of 2019, with Season 2 arriving in April of 2020. Amid the restructuring of DC Universe, both seasons were added to HBO Max in August of 2020. The following month, it was confirmed that Harley Quinn would return for Season 3 as an HBO Max exclusive. Harley Quinn Season 3 is expected to arrive on HBO Max either late this year or early next year, though still lacks an official premiere date at this time.

Written by Tee Franklin and illustrated by Max Sarin, Harley Quinn: The Animated Series: The Eat. Bang! Kill. Tour #1 goes on sale in print Sept. 14 from DC Comics. The issue is currently available digitally for DC Universe Infinite subscribers.
