Line it is Drawn: Mirror Universe Classic Comic Book Covers

This week, our artists did mirror universe versions of famous comic book covers, with heroes and villains flipping spots!

So every week, I post a topic here. You reply to it on the CSBG Twitter page (just write @csbg with your reply), our artists will each pick one of your suggestions and I will post their drawings based on your suggestions here every week. So every week you will have a new question and you will see the choices picked from the previous week.

To qualify, you have to be following @csbg when you reply – so go follow us and then give your answer to the following question/challenge (All suggestions due by 8:59am Pacific Sunday).

The topic for next week…

Gene Guilmette mentioned this one recently, so I’m revisiting this classic Line theme! Re-design/update a Saturday Morning Cartoon! Either just name a cartoon and our artists will do the update/redesign or come up with an idea for an update/redesign yourself and share it in the tweet!

Read on for the drawings that came about courtesy of the last question/challenge!

As suggested by our own Adam Ruvola, pick a famous comic cover or splash redone for a ‘universe of evil’ where the heroes are the villains and vice versa.

Enjoy!

I’ll put them in alphabetical order based on the person who made the suggestion.

Jorge decided to do a whole riff on the concept of mirror universe via a suggestion by his friend, Pedro Angosto.

Welcome to EARTH-C, home of the INJUSTICE BOARD

In the Big Bang Comics Universe, the Round Table of America of Earth- A is formed by the greatest heroes: Ultiman, Knight Watchman and Venus.

In the Criss-Cross Crisis they encountered the Knights of Justice of Earth-B, but there are more alternate worlds out there!

In Earth-3, events transpired in a different way:-OMEGAMAN: The radiation from the meteor that affected astronaut Chris Kelly made him, in this world, reach critical point and blow up Empire City. Only his teen son survived, gaining powers similar to those of Ultiman but, traumatized by the event, used them for for evil, wearing black and calling himself Omegaman. The yellow radiation within his body constantly leaks thru his eyes.-NIGHT BURGAL: The bomb that in Earth-A blew up Reid Randall’s brother, took him and his nephew in this world. So his surviving brother Ted ruined the Randal Company with his gambling debts. Without any inheritance, his second son turned to crime calling himself Night Burgal. Lacking personality he was manipulated by his old butler, Pinkerton Fleming (the counterpart on this world of the Pink Flamingo), mastering the use of all fire weapons and armed with a crowbar.-LIBERTINA: Daughter of Venus and Mars, goddess of lust and executions, can control the mind of any woman and has pleasure doing it. She also loves to have sex with the ghost of her deceased lovers possessing the bodies of innocent women.
