Fan-favorite Marvel Comics character Ms. Marvel won’t be showing up on Inhumans anytime soon. At the premiere for the upcoming ABC series, Head of Marvel Television Jeph Loeb addressed whether the inclusion of new Inhumans characters like Auran would herald the arrival of Kamala Khan.
“At the moment there’s no plans for that to happen. That doesn’t mean it [won’t] happen,” Loeb told ThatHashtagShow. “Auran has just been a terrific addition to the show, and we’re incredibly happy with everything about her, particularly the actress who plays her.”

When she was introduced in G. Willow Wilson and Adrian Alphona’s Ms. Marvel #1 back in 2013, Kamala was revealed to be an Inhuman just like Auran and the Royal Family. As a dormant Inhuman living on Earth, Kamala’s powers were triggered when Black Bolt released Terrigen into the atmosphere. After her Terrigenesis, Kamala became a polymorph, which gives her the ability to alter her size as well as her appearance.
Though she has interacted with the Inhuman Royal Family and their associates, Kamala does most of her heroing solo in New Jersey, away from the hierarchical Inhuman society. As such, it makes sense that she won’t show up on Inhumans, which bounces between Hawaii and Attilan, the Royal Family’s home on the blue area of the moon.

If Marvel Television does move forward with a Ms. Marvel project, Kamala will likely to debut in her own series, given the popularity of the character. She could also pop up on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the Inhumans sister series that established the ocean was contaminated with Terrigen and subsequently dealt with the fallout. Either way, Loeb’s answer here indicates that Ms. Marvel is not out of the question for Marvel Television, even if she won’t appear on Inhumans for the time being.
The first two episodes of Marvel’s Inhumans debuted in IMAX theaters on September 1, kicking off a two-week run. On September 29, the show will make its broadcast debut on ABC. The network will show the eight-episode first season of Inhumans in its entirety, including content from the first two episodes not seen in the IMAX run. The drama stars Anson Mount as Black Bolt, Iwan Rheon as Maximus the Mad, Serinda Swan as Queen Medusa, Ken Leung as Karnak, Isabelle Cornish as Crystal, Eme Ikwuakor as Gorgon, Mike Moh as Triton and Sonya Balmores as Auran.
