Scott Snyder Shares Nocterra #1 Preview

A preview of Scott Snyder and Tony S. Daniel’s Nocterra has the Image Comics series on a high-octane adventure through a world of eternal darkness.

After a decade of writing DC’s biggest titles, culminating in the recent crossover event Dark Nights: Death Metal, Eisner Award-winning writer Scott Snyder is shifting his focus back to creator-owned comic titles.

Leading the charge for Snyder’s newly minted creator-owned comic book publishing imprint Best Jackett Press is Nocterra, co-created with artist Tony S. Daniel. The comic has the world plunged into total darkness, with people transformed into monsters due to the darkness’ corrosive effects, as a woman named Val delivers vital supplies through the shadowy landscape with her big-rig truck. In a preview from the debut issue — written by Snyder, illustrated by Daniel, colored by Tomeu Morey and lettered by AndWorld Design — Val is seen defending her precious cargo.
