Project Digest Extra ①: Kyoyuzen Asuna & Yuuki in Kyoto
―Asuna & Yuuki clothed in Kyoyuzenー
Following the creation of a figure for the current “Kyoto x SAO” project, the third core part of the project is this specially drawn illustration created by A-1 Pictures of Asuna and Yuuki dressed in Kyoyuzen.
Yuuki’s Kyoyuzen look is an original design that pairs with Asuna’s and was produced for this illustration with the approval of artist Arisa based on Asuna’s Kyoyuzen.
Their expressions and poses shown together have been delicately and beautifully drawn by A-1 Pictures.

Using this specially drawn artwork, A-1 Pictures also created a portrait of them against a background themed after a commemorative photo with the concept of “what if Asuna and Yuuki were walking the streets of Kyoto wearing Kyoyuzen?”.

―Searching for Kyoto Scenery
In order to follow their tourist route, Tokyo Otaku Mode Inc., which is in charge of project planning cooperation, photography, and North American promotion, performed location hunting for famous spots, streets, and alleys in Kyoto, and selected Kyoto’s Yodobashi entertainment district as the spot for their commemorative photo.
Furthermore, Tokyo Otaku Mode Inc. plans to include an acrylic stand of the special artwork created by A-1 Pictures of Asuna wearing Kyoyuzen as a special bonus with the figure.
