Terminator 6 to Face Off Against Charlie’s Angels in November 2019

After this week’s news that Wonder Woman 1984 was pushing back its release date to June 5, 2020, the upcoming Terminator revival and Charlie’s Angels reboot have changed their respective release dates to take advantage of the November gap.

This morning, Paramount announced that the sixth cinematic installment of the classic sci-fi franchise would be moving up its release date to November 1, 2019 after originally being scheduled for November 22 of that same month.

This announcement comes after yesterday’s announcement by Sony that the studio was moving back its Charlie’s Angels reboot to the November 1 release date to coincide with the anniversary of the 2000 adaptation starring Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu, and Drew Barrymore. The reboot, which began principal photography at the end of September, was originally scheduled to be released on September 27, 2019.

While targeting completely different demographics, this puts the two upcoming blockbusters in direct competition with each other for the first weekend in November.

Charlie’s Angels is directed and starring Elizabeth Banks and also stars Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, Ella Balinska, and Patrick Stewart. It is scheduled for release on November 1, 2019.
