Saint Young Men Live Action Drama Releases New Trailer!

The official trailer for the live action drama adaptation of slice-of-life manga Saint Young Men is offering fans another hilarious sneak peek into the daily lives of their two favorite deities!

The drama is directed by Fukuda Yuichi, a live action veteran who has brought countless manga to life, such as the live action film adaptation of Gintama and its sequel. Roommates Jesus Christ and Gautama Buddha are played by Matsuyama Kenichi and Sometani Shouta respectively.

Aside from its regular broadcasts on Piccoma TV from Oct. 18, fans will be able to catch episodes via Nico Nico and Kyokan Theater. The drama will also get a limited theatrical release through Tachikawa Cinema City and Aeon Cinema.

Created by Nakamura Hikaru, Saint Young Men won praise for its charmingly comedic imagining of what life would be like if two iconic deities, Jesus Christ and Gautama Buddha, were roommates. The manga has had 16 million copies printed worldwide and was also adapted into an anime film in 2013.

The Saint Young Men live action drama will officially premiere on Piccoma TV on Oct. 18.
