Each issue, along with the previously announced Conan The Barbarian by Jason Aaron, Mahmud Asrar, and Esad Ribic, will run serialized novellas as a nod to Conan’s pulp fiction past.
Duggan, in particular, is a longtime fan of the character. “My first job was in 7th grade, working part-time at a comics shop that needed help going through their inventory,” he said. “I fell in love with the classic Conan material that year. To be able to play in this sandbox now is a dream come true.”
He added, “I wrote my first ‘By Crom!’ into a script the other day, and I stopped for a moment to say, ‘Oh… That feels as good as a SNIKT or a THWIP!’”
