As the DC Comics origin film reportedly takes place in the 1980s, the retro looks of the cars including their slick, leather interior certainly matches the story’s time period.
Expected to focus on failed standup comedian Arthur Fleck’s transformation into the Clown Prince of Crime, principal photography on the film began earlier this month.

While Gotham’s boys in blue will evidently be on hand to protect Gotham from its new villain, judging by leaked set photo of Fleck leading a gang of clown-themed criminals, they may not be enough.
Directed and co-written by Todd Phillips, Joker stars Joaquin Phoenix as the titular character along with Robert De Niro, Marc Maron, Zazie Beetz, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, and Bill Camp. It is scheduled to be released on October 4, 2019.
