Supergirl’s Melissa Benoist Is ‘Excited to See Kara Interact With Batwoman’

With The CW’s Arrowverse preparing to make its big return in the fall and this December’s crossover event set to introduce the character of Batwoman to the small screen, many people are excited to see just how Kate Kane (played by Ruby Rose) will interact with the rest of the heroes, including Supergirl star Melissa Benoist.

In July, at Comic-Con International in San Diego, Benoist attended a media session at the Hilton Bayfront to promote the upcoming fourth season of Supergirl. Her Cape has now revealed that at that event, Benoist was asked how Supergirl would interact with Batwoman.

“I’m so excited see Kara interact with Batwoman,” Benoist responded. “Throughout the seasons Kara’s had a few funny quippy lines about Batman and her opinions on him and she kind of always thinks vigilantes are nuts. We’ve always had those funny little moments. So I’m excited to see her meet Batwoman and see how they interact. It might be funny.”

In addition to her thoughts on Kara Zor-El and Kate Kane rubbing shoulders in the crossover event, Benoist also explained what else Supergirl fans can expect out of Season 4.

“This season is gonna be different,” she explained. “Season three was a lot of fire and brimstone and witchcraft and paying homage to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which we’re all big fans of. This season I think is gonna be a little more rooted and grounded in reality and kind of mirroring a lot of topical issues.”
