Talking Dead Staffers, EP Depart After Hardwick Reinstated

Chris Hardwick‘s return as host of Talking Dead has not been a seamless reinstatement.

After AMC’s decision to reinstate Hardwick as the host of The Walking Dead talk show last month, a female executive producer and several other members of the show’s approximately 25-member have since left the production.

Hardwick had been removed as host by the network in June after facing accusations of years of sexual misconduct and emotional abuse by ex-girlfriend Chloe Dykstra. Following the accusations, Hardwick was also removed as moderator of several panels at Comic-Con International in San Diego including AMC’s panel for The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead being replaced by Yvette Nicole Brown. After conducting their own investigation on the matter, AMC reinstated Hardwick as host noting his return was an “appropriate step” after a month-long review.

Sources revealed that Hardwick led an emotional meeting with the staff upon his return to the production on Wednesday with his demeanor described as “apologetic and contrite”, promising to meet with any staffers individually upon request.
