Aquaman Action Figures Reveal Ocean Master’s Costume and More

A new line of Aquaman toys offer a closer look at some of the movie’s biggest characters as audiences wait patiently for the official trailer to arrive at Comic-Con International in San Diego.

Earlier this week, fans caught their first glimpse of Patrick Wilson’s comic book-accurate Ocean Master helmet. Now, we get to see how his entire outfit will be translated to the big screen.

Continuing Entertainment Weekly‘s extensive coverage of Aquaman ahead of the trailer drop, the site has revealed Mattel’s line of action figures based on the film’s cast.

The 6″ figures give another look at Jason Momoa’s Arthur Curry in his traditional Aquaman costume, as well as close-ups of Amber Heard’s Mera and Willem Dafoe’s Vulko (alongside a hammerhead shark).

Orm, aka the Ocean Master, certainly stands out from the crowd with his vibrant purple suit and metallic trident, a look that’s ripped straight form the comics. However, he is dwarfed by the inclusion of The Brine King. The giant crab-like monster may have an unspecified role in Aquaman, but he is presumably a ruler of one of the Seven Kingdoms, like The Fisherman King.

The description warns that this “crustacean will attack, swing his claw and capture enemies in a lethal vice grip,” so either way, he doesn’t sound like someone Arthur Curry or the rest of the Atlantean forces want to be crossing paths with.

The line of figures is currently on display at Comic-Con International in San Diego.

Directed by James Wan, Aquaman stars Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Amber Heard as Mera, Patrick Wilson as Ocean Master, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry and Dolph Lundgren as Nereus. The film is scheduled to make a big splash in theaters December 21.
