Season 6 of The CW’s Arrow ended with Oliver Queen revealing his secret identity to the world, part of a deal that would protect his friends. However, this came at a cost: as the finale came to a close, the vigilante was stripped of his bow and arrows and incarcerated inside a supermax prison.
Dark days are undoubtedly ahead for the character, who is now stuck in a place filled with prisoners the Green Arrow helped imprison — and it’s only about to get form bad to worse. The new showrunner of Arrow revealed that the title of the Season 7 premiere is “Inmate 4587,” hinting that life behind bars will certainly not be easy for Oliver Queen.

Oliver’s inmate number, 4587 is an Easter egg in and of itself, considering that it was the agent number of Vinnie Terranova, the main character of the classic television series Wiseguy. But on top of that, this also isn’t the first time these numbers have appeared in the Arrowverse. Most notably, it was the number of a warehouse in the Legends of Tomorrow episode “Star City 2046,” an episode that presented viewers with a very dark future for Green Arrow’s beloved city.
Could this be a sign of things to come? We’ll just have to wait and see to find out.
