Ant-Man and the Wasp star Evangeline Lilly had an epic response to her male co-stars’ complaints about their Marvel Cinematic Universe costumes.
During an interview with BackstageOL, Lilly was asked about her suit. When the interviewer brought up Ant-Man actor Paul Rudd’s complaint about being unable to scratch his back while wearing his suit, Lilly laid down the law. “I have been hearing Marvel male superheroes complain about their suits for years,” Lilly said. “And I got into my suit and I was, you know, wearing it, working in it, doing my thing and I was like, ‘It’s just not that bad.’”

“Do I have the most comfortable suit in the MCU?” Lilly continued. “Or… have men not had the life experience of being uncomfortable for the sake of looking good [highlighting her high heel shoes] and they’re just like, what is this? This sucks, why are we, why, why do I have to go through this? Whereas a woman’s like ‘I don’t know, it’s like normal, you know, I wear heels to work, I’m uncomfortable all day.’ You get used to it, you tune it out.”
Directed by Peyton Reed, Ant-Man and the Wasp hits theaters on July 6 and stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, Tip “T.I.” Harris, Judy Greer, David Dastmalchian, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Laurence Fishburne, Hannah John-Kamen, Randall Park and Walton Goggins.
