An unknown assailant lays a deadly trap for Duke Thomas in CBR’s exclusive preview of Detective Comics #983.
The issue will see Bryan Hill begins his run on Detective Comics, joined by artists Miguel Mendonca, Diana Egea, Adriano Lucas and Sal Cipriano. Part One of “On The Outside” will pick up threads from Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo’s Dark Nights: Metal, with the final issue seeing Batman approach Black Lightning with an offer to work together. Of course, with Black Lightning and the word “Outside” in the story arc’s title, there is a good chance this could lead to the Rebirth version of the Outsiders superhero team forming, with Duke Thomas and Cassandra Cain as potential members — that is, if Duke can survive his latest assault.
