King had previously written a short story titled “For Tomorrow” in April’s landmark Action Comics #1000, for which Kubert provided a variant cover. The poignant story took place in the far-future with Superman visiting his parents’ graves one last time in Earth’s final moments.
Superman Giant #3, featuring the first chapter of writer Tom King and artist Andy Kubert’s epic Superman story “Up in the Sky!” is on sale this September for $4.99 in select Wal-Mart locations.
