Aquaman Trailer Releasing at SDCC 2018

Warner Bros. has announced the release date for the official Aquaman trailer, confirming it will drop during the film’s panel presentation (likely in Hall H) at Comic-Con International in San Diego.

The studio revealed as much in a tweet, which also debuted a splashy new logo for the DC Comics-based solo superhero flick.

“Comic-Con will be insane,” director James Wan teased. “This is the new glyph/logo. Freshly smuggled out of Atlantis! (stolen off King Orm’s belt buckle).”

While we don’t know the exact day of the Aquaman trailer debut, history suggests the film’s panel will take place on the Saturday of the convention, the 21st of July.

A report surfaced earlier this week indicating that Aquaman’s first trailer would wash ashore in “the coming days,” however, that’s clearly been debunked by the studio.

The film wrapped production in October, and since then, reports have run rampant as to when the first trailer might arrive. Rumors originally suggested a trailer would be screened in February at WonderCon, but director James Wan was quick to throw cold water on those. Despite speculation that the studio had pulled the trailer from its presentation, Wan explained it was never part of the plan.

Arriving Dec. 21, director James Wan’s Aquaman stars Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, Willem Dafoe, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Temuera Morrison, Dolph Lundgren and Nicole Kidman.
