Roy Thomas to Appear in Daredevil Season 3

Once again, Roy Thomas will follow in the footsteps of comics legend Stan Lee. The former Marvel Comics editor is now slated to cameo in an episode of Daredevil: Season 3.

Thomas opened up about his very minor cameo during his appearance on the Marvelists podcast with hosts Peter Melnick and Eddie Wilson. “I think it’s okay to mention it, they just didn’t want any secrets about the thing — nobody’s gonna see me in that,” Thomas revealed. “If you’ve got a magnifying glass, you can probably spot me.”

Thomas is perhaps best known for succeeding Lee as Editor-in-Chief of Marvel Comics, in addition to his acclaimed runs on The Avengers and X-Men throughout the ’60s and ’70s. Of course, Thomas also scripted Daredevil for a time, famously collaborating with artists Barry Windsor-Smith and Gene Colan over the course of his 20-issue run.

Netflix’s Daredevil: Season 3 is expected to adapt the bestselling “Born Again” storyline from the comics, by Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli. It’s also rumored to include the fan-favorite Daredevil comic book villain Bullseye, who would be making his first return to live-action since his 2003 portrayal by Colin Ferrell in the critically-panned solo film.

While there is still no official release date set for Daredevil: Season 3, it is expected to return to Netflix sometime in 2018 with new showrunner Erik Oleson at the helm.
