Star Wars has been featured in Disney theme parks since 1987 with the opening of Star Tours, a motion simulator that had riders blast through the immersive worlds of the Star Wars universe. In 2011, the original Star Tours was replaced by a revamped 3D version Star Tours: The Adventures Continue integrating locations from the prequel trilogy. Following the renovation, the ride has been updated to include settings and characters from 2015’s The Force Awakens and 2017’s The Last Jedi.

With Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, fans will soon have an entire theme park to explore the Star Wars universe and become part of the iconic sci-fi franchise.
