Popular mecha franchise Mobile Suit Gundam has almost reached its 40th year since the broadcast of its first iconic entry in 1979. As part of the pre-celebrations for this huge milestone, NHK held an online poll to find out fans’ picks for four categories – best series, best Mobile suit, best characters, and best song. From Mar. 2 to Apr. 20, 1,740,280 votes were cast, and now the results are out!
