Agents of SHIELD Star Headed to Guardians of the Galaxy Animated Series

Actor Ming-Na Wen is joining the Guardians of the Galaxy — sort of. Yhe Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. star is set to lend her voice to two upcoming episodes of the current animated series.

Disney XD recently revealed the news that Wen, who is best known for playing Melinda May on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., will be voicing the character Phyla-Vell in two upcoming episodes, “Happy Together” and “Gotta Get Out of This Place.” She’ll be joined by actor Seth Green who will once again lend his voice to Howard the Duck.

The Guardians will find themselves face-to-face with Phyla-Vell in the episode, “Happy Together,” when they find themselves taking on what is thought to be a simple transport job. Unfortunately, they failed to realize that they were actually hired to steal a mysterious item from the Kree, leaving Phyla-Vell to go after them. It’s their meeting with Phyla-Vell that results in them being imprisoned in “Gotta Get Out of This Place.”

You can check out a sneak peek of Wen’s Phyla-Vell in the below clip.

Wen’s role as Phyla-Vell is her second Marvel animated role, as it was revealed late last year that she’ll be joining her fellow Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. cast members, Chloe Bennet and Dove Cameron, in Marvel Rising. Bennet, of course, will be voicing her S.H.I.E.L.D. character Daisy “Quake” Johnson, while Dove Cameron will voice Ghost-Spider, and Wen will lend her voice to the villainous Hala.
