Superman Uses Starro As a Giant Throwing Star in Justice League: No Justice

Writer Scott Snyder gave fans a peek into his next project, Justice League: No Justice, with an allusion to an unlikely team-up between Superman and Starro.

In the upcoming miniseries, heroes, villains and antiheroes forum unexpected teams to stop Brainiac and his universe-ending plot. Snyder’s aim with in crafting the four disparate groups — Mystery, Wonder, Wisdom and Entropy — was to come up with something readers have never seen before. Like, say, a partnership between the Man of Steel and the enormous alien starfish.

“Why not have a story where Starro is thrown like a throwing star by Superman at Brainiac?” he told Newsarama. “That’s literally what happens. And Starro is like, ‘Go ahead, Superman, I give you permission!’ It’s the craziest.”

That “crazy” moment arrives on the heels of Dark Nights: Metal, possibly Snyder’s most ambitious project to date, which concludes today with Issue 6.
