Popular web light novel That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime will be receiving a TV anime adaptation to be broadcast in fall 2018.
The series follows lonely 37-year-old salaryman Mikami Satoru, who is killed during a robbery but wakes up to realise he has been reincarnated as a slime monster in a strange fantasy world.
The anime adaptation will be directed by Kikuchi Yasuhito ( Comet Lucifer , Infinite Stratos ), with series composition by Fudeyasu Kazuyuki ( Girls’ Last Tour ), and character design by Ebata Ryoma.
Five surreal visuals and a teaser trailer have been released along with the announcement.
A free-to-play smartphone game is also set for release for iOS and Android at the same time as the anime, with further details yet to be announced.
TV anime That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is slated to air from fall 2018.
