Yet another Glee alumni is joining the Arrowverse with the addition of Max Adler as Pyro.
First reported by Flash TV News, and later confirmed by Adler himself, the actor will tackle the role of DC Comics’ Pyro in an upcoming episode of The Flash. Also known for being in Criminal Minds recently, Adler will play Jaco Birch — a character described as “an obsessive music fanatic who worships at the altar of classic heavy metal.”

Adler joins fellow Glee alumni Grant Gustin (Barry Allen/The Flash), Melissa Benoist (Kara Danvers/Supergirl), Blake Jenner (Adam Foster in Supergirl) and Darren Criss (Music Meister in both The Flash and Supergirl) in The CW’s shared DC Comics universe. Adler’s appearance is said to debut on the small screen in March.
Looking to the pages of DC Comics, Pyro was granted extraordinary, superhuman abilities by a 45,000 year-old sorcerer, and became one of Power Girl’s many villains. As his super-pseudonym suggests, he’s a pyrokinetic and he’s seemingly about to have Barry hot on his heels!
