Numerous other photos of Larson in uniform have surfaced online as well. The aforementioned photos showed Larson wearing a custom flight duty uniform at Nellis Air Force Base near Las Vegas, Nevada.
With filming of Captain Marvel set to take place in California, it’s unknown what brought Larson to the Nevada base. However, as fans will note, the Air Force is an important part of Carol’s story. In the comics, Carol enlists at age 18, and rises to the rank of major.

Carol’s time in the Air Force also led her to receive the Kree powers that turn her into a superhero. Since gaining them, she has interacted with her old USAF buddies from time to time. In her 2012 series from Kelly Sue DeConnick and Dexter Soy, Carol wound up being propelled in the past and met a younger version of her friend and mentor Helen Cobb. It is unknown at this time how much of the film will be devoted to Carol’s time in the Force.
Arriving in theaters on March 8, 2019, Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Jude Law, Dewanda Wise and Ben Mendehlson.
