The Flash’s Murder Trial Kicks Off in Midseason Premiere Synopsis

The Flash’s midseason finale put Barry Allen in a very precarious position. The Thinker was able to maneuver Barry in just such a way that the speedster was arrested for the supervillain’s murder, all while the Thinker was able to get away scot-free in a brand-new body. The CW series’ midseason return will see Barry fighting the charges in a trial that could decide his future.

The newly released synopsis reads:

“The Trial of The Flash”

“BARRY FIGHTS FOR HIS LIFE — As Barry’s (Grant Gustin) trial for the murder of Clifford DeVoe begins, Iris (Candice Patton) and Joe (Jesse L. Martin) must decide how far they are willing to go to keep Barry out of prison. Philip Chipera directed the episode written by Lauren Certo & Kristen Kim (#410). Original airdate 1/16/2018.”

There’s no doubt Barry and Team Flash will be doing everything in their power to thwart the Thinker’s scheme, but the villain, who now inhabits the body of telepath Dominic Lanse, will likely make his own play to keep the hero behind bars. Only time will tell how Barry is able to beat the charges.
