Prime Video's epic series The Wheel of Time, based on the beloved series of novels by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson, premiered in 2021 and became an instant hit with fantasy fans of all stripes. The first season told the story of five young people who left their secluded village to learn which of them was the Dragon Reborn, fated to save or destroy the world, under the guidance of a mysterious Aes Sedai and her stoic Warder. As The Wheel of Time enters its second season, the ensemble cast has already dealt with major disruptions to their lives, and more are on the way. Award-winning actor Rosamund Pike plays Moiraine Damodred, the Aes Sedai who sought out the Dragon Reborn and sacrificed everything after finding him. At the end of Season 1, Moiraine appeared to have lost her ability to channel the One Power along with the purpose that has driven her so far. Josha Stradowski portrays the Dragon himself, Rand al'Thor. Fearing that he's a danger to his loved ones, he left them to believe he was dead and set off on his own.
