The Venture Bros.: Radiant Is the Blood of the Baboon Heart had a Herculean task ahead of it when it was announced. The film effectively serves as the finale for the long-running Adult Swim animated series, having to serve as its own story while also closing the book on the show as a whole. While, being good on its own would have probably sufficed for long-term fans, but the special manages to accomplish more than that. A perfectly fitting finale that carries its own story while delving into some of the show's oldest questions and deepest themes, Radiant is the Blood of the Baboon Heart reaches the heights that the show has long been known for, and is a grand accomplishment for the whole team — but especially on the part of series creators Doc Hammer and Jackson Publik.
