Netflix’s Love, Death + Robots has been one of the streaming services most well-received properties. From Season 1, fans lapped up stories like “Three Robots,” with various shorts ranging from this robot apocalypse, to tales of werewolves and vampires. Now in its third season, the sci-fi and horror anthology is telling fresh stories, such as zombies ravaging the Earth. However, there’s now a sequel in “Three Robots: Exit Strategy,” proving the series doesn’t mind expanding if a story is worth it. To that point, some new shorts did leave room for continuation this season.
5) Kill Team Kill 2 Can Focus On New Locations
In “Kill Team Kill,” CIA operatives were attacked by a cybernetic bear, realizing their government was breeding hybrids of creatures and robots in a spin on Weapon X. The beast eventually self-destructed, killing everyone after a brutal firefight, but a sequel can dissect other locations. This base showed shark-bots in the prototype phase, so other bases can have creatures go rogue or enemies trying to steal them. The show can also have American units using these beasts across different terrain, maybe even with eagles as drones and sharks attacking subs.
4) Bad Traveling 2 Can Dissect a Stranded Torrin
“Bad Traveling” focused on Torrin destroying his boat and crew to save Phaiden Island from a crab-like kaiju that stowed aboard — the Thanapod. However, while the short ended with him in his row-boat, there’s potential danger lingering. Some baby crabs could have escaped and began hunting him. The mother may even have lived, not to mention there were many other monsters in the ocean, including a potential father. A sequel can focus on Torrin evading them, as well as the psychological guilt of killing his former colleagues as he’s isolated among the rough waves.
3) Swarm 2 Can Detail A New Earth Invasion
“Swarm” — from the mind of Deadpool’s Tim Miller — ended with the human scientists, Afriel and Galina, being kidnapped and assimilated by the hive mind and its queen. They were punished for trying to steal DNA, so Earth could build its own alien army. The queen did warn the hybrids she’d make from them would-be superior humans. Thus, a follow-up can look at these super humans and the other aliens the queen had attack Earth in the name of conquest, eager to assimilate and evolve the species into its new horde.
2) In Vaulted Halls 2 Could Bring an Ancient Evil Back
“In Vaulted Halls Entombed,” American soldiers in Afghanistan found a terrifying, Lovecraftian alien trapped below in a cave that could manipulate people’s minds. Luckily, Harper survived, digging her eyes out and mutilating herself, so it couldn’t possess her. However, her wandering the desert sets up a sequel in that her battalion could trace her steps back. If she’s incapacitated, they may think this was done by torturous enemy troops, which can result in them accidentally unleashing the destroyer to raze the Earth.
1) Jibaro 2 May Turn The Siren Into a Victim
In “Jibaro,” a deadly siren used her call to drive knights to murder each other and drown. She was eventually killed by a warrior who could not hear, but she was resurrected from the river of blood to claim his life too. However, seeing as she came off weaker after revival, a sequel can focus on mages enslaving her. She could be used as a WMD to break rival armies, transforming her from predator to prey. The stellar realistic animation aside, seeing the supernatural femme fatale as a victim would be quite a journey, teaching her about the pain she wrought upon people in an arc of dark karma.
