The latest Star Wars series Obi-Wan Kenobi has finally landed on Disney+ with the first two episodes dropping a few hours early. The show takes place in 9 BBY and catches up with Obi-Wan as he remains secluded on Tatooine keeping a close eye on the son of Anakin Skywalker. Kenobi is called back into action while being hunted by the Imperial Inquisitors.
Joel Edgerton reprises his role as Luke’s uncle Owen Lars. And the excitement amongst fans of the prequel films at the return of Hayden Christensen remained palpable with an expectation for a rematch between him and Obi-Wan. With 4 episodes remaining, plenty of internet-breaking cameos are possible.

10 More Temuera Morrison As The Clones
Obi-Wan Kenobi was drawn off the desert planet Tatooine to rescue a 10-year-old Leia Organa, played exceptionally well by Vivien Lyra Blair. Bail Organa (Jimmy Smits reprises his role) tells him that the young princess has been kidnaped and taken to the crime-ridden planet of Daiyu.
When Obi-Wan arrives on Daiyu, he runs into a clone trooper played by Temeura Morrison living on the street. It’s likely the first time he’s seen a clone since Order 66, which has to cause some nightmarish memories. There’s a good chance fans will get to see more Temeura Morrison, including Commander Cody or Captain Rex.
9 Obi-Wan Might See The Almighty Jabba The Hutt
Disney+ released a watch list in the weeks leading to the premiere of Obi-Wan Kenobi. After The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones, The Clone Wars animated film from 2008 is recommended viewing. The film follows the Jedi warriors at the outset of the war against the Separatist Alliance.
In the film, Anakin and Ahsoka Tano work together to rescue the son of Tatooine’s crime lord Jabba the Hutt. There’s little that happens on Tatooine without Jabba knowing. If the series takes us back to Tatooine, fans might see the vile gangster helping to hide Obi-Wan.
8 Anakin’s Former Padawan Ahsoka Tano
Disney’s watch list for Obi-Wan Kenobi was not just about Obi-Wan and Anakin Skywalker, but fan-favorite Ahsoka Tano. As Anakin’s Padawan, Ahsoka was a primary character in The Clone Wars animated movie and much of the series. With the coming Ahsoka series on Disney+, Lucasfilm will be increasingly pushing more appearances.
Rosario Dawson has already shown up in The Book of Boba Fett following her appearance in the second season of The Mandalorian. The book Star Wars: Ahsoka describes the former Padawan going into hiding, but there’s no reason why she can’t show up to give Obi-Wan a helping hand.
7 Obi-Wan’s Late Master Qui-Gon Jinn
Revenge of the Sith left off with Yoda and Obi-Wan going their separate ways. Before they parted, Yoda told Obi-Wan he had been conversing with his former master. Although we didn’t see the Force Ghost of Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn, Yoda told Obi-Wan he would teach him the way to reach his late master in the Netherworld of the Force.
The recap before Part I of Obi-Wan Kenobi included this crucial moment with the titular character briefly trying to reach out. Liam Neeson is known to show up for cameos, including a brief appearance in The Dark Knight Rises. There’s no better actor to recruit for a plot that involves a child that was taken.
6 Padawan Cal Kestis From Jedi: Fallen Order
The only other Jedi who has many run-ins with the Inquisitors hasn’t appeared in a movie or series. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is a video game that follows a young Padawan following Order 66. Still canon, the video game gives an impressive story about the resilience of a young Jedi in the face of annihilation.
Rumors circulate about any Star Wars property, and the introduction of a live-action Cal Kestis is no exception. It would be the first video game to live-action cross-over in Star Wars history. And what better Jedi Master to help Cal complete his training other than Obi-Wan Kenobi.
5 Everyone’s Favorite Droids R2-D2 And C-3PO
Droids are an essential aspect in a galaxy far, far away. Every Star Wars property tends to introduce audiences to a lovable and laughable mech. Since Obi-Wan Kenobi is a direct continuation of the Skywalker Saga, there are two specific droids that everyone not only wants, but half expects, to see.
Part I of Obi-Wan Kenobi takes fans to Alderaan and the home of Bail and Breha Organa. Amongst the crowd at a party, a couple of protocol droids are serving guests could be a hint that we’ll see everyone’s favorite astromech R2-D2, and protocol droid C-3PO, before the series ends.
4 Bounty Hunter Cad Bane
The Clone Wars series may also provide some clues as to who might show up in this latest Star Wars side journey. One storyline, in particular, began with the episode entitled “Deception” from the fourth season. In it, Obi-Wan goes undercover and uncovers a plot to assassinate Chancellor Palpatine.
The arc went to great lengths to describe the growing rift between Anakin and Obi-Wan. Clone Wars also provided several interactions between Obi-Wan and Cad Bane. Lucasfilm introduced live-action Cad Bane in The Book of Boba Fett. Although the Inquisitors tend to take care of business, the hunt for Obi-Wan may require one of the galaxy’s greatest bounty hunters.
3 A Visit To See Jedi Master Yoda On Dagobah
Obi-Wan, Bail Organa, and Jedi Master Yoda decide to separate the newborn babies of Padmé and Anakin by the end of the Revenge of the Sith. Luke and Leia must be hidden to ensure their ongoing safety. Yoda says, “Until the time is right, into hiding we must go.” Perhaps the time is right and out of hiding Yoda must come.
Yoda told Obi-Wan he would teach him to reach out to Qui-Gon while he’s in his solitude. Obi-Wan already tried to reach out to his former master in Part I of Obi-Wan Kenobi. A visit to Yoda on Dagobah could be what he needs to learn to reach out for guidance from his late master.
2 Maul Has Unfinished Business
Other than Anakin Skywalker, no one has more beef with Obi-Wan Kenobi than Maul. The Disney watch list also recommends a storyline of The Clone Wars where Maul kills Obi-Wans better half Duchess Satine Kryze of Mandalore. It’s revenge for cutting off Maul’s bottom half in The Phantom Menace.
Maul is still alive and does not meet his end until the Rebels series. The former Sith Lord is likely still the leader of the Crimson Dawn crime syndicate around this time. He’s a fan-favorite character and Obi-Wan Kenobi might break the internet should he return for vengeance.
1 Do It, Emperor Sheev Palpatine
Obi-Wan Kenobi takes place at the height of Emperor Palpatine’s reign. Darth Vader plays a huge part in the series and Part I saw a brief glimpse of Hayden Christensen in his bacta tank. Even though the Inquisitors largely answer to Vader, Palpatine pulls all the strings.
If Lucasfilm decides to take advantage of Ian McDiarmid’s incredible talents, he will most likely not play a very large role in the overall plot. Even a brief glimpse of the Emperor in a hologram would be enough to satisfy the fandom’s hunger. Palpatine made a brief cameo in Rebels, there’s a good chance he’ll rear his ugly mug.
