The new TV anime adaptation of Urusei Yatsura has revealed its October premiere along with a trailer, key visual, and additional cast info!
The new cast members are Wataru Takagi as Cherry and Miyuki Sawashiro as Sakura. Cast/character visuals for Takagi, Sawashiro, and the rest of the current cast have also been released.

Adapted from Rumiko Takahashi’s romantic comedy manga series, Urusei Yatsura follows a high school boy named Ataru Moroboshi, who is selected as the human player in a game of tag instigated by aliens known as Oni. If Ataru can successfully touch the horns of Lum, the daughter of the invasion’s leader, the aliens will let humanity go free.
The new anime adaptation will run for four cours and adapt selected stories from the original manga. Hiroshi Kamiya and Sumire Uesaka star as Ataru and Lum. Maaya Uchida and Mamoru Miyano have also joined the cast as Shinobu Miyake and Shutaro Mendo.
Hideya Takahashi and Yasuhiro Kimura is directing at david production with series composition by Yuko Kakihara and character design by Naoyuki Asano.
Urusei Yatsura’s anime reboot will premiere in October 2022.
