Warner Bros. has revealed the official box art for its upcoming animated DC film Green Lantern: Beware My Power, which tells the story of John Stewart’s very first adventure as an Emerald Knight.
The 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray box art for Beware My Power sees John Stewart/Green Lantern taking flight, his power ring glowing bright. Looming large in the background is none other than the villainous Sinestro. Fortunately, John appears to have some backup in the form of Hawkgirl and Green Arrow. The Justice League’s Watchtower can also be spotted in the distance.
In Green Lantern: Beware My Power, recently discharged Marine sniper John Stewart is at a crossroads in his life, one which is only complicated by receiving an extraterrestrial ring which grants him the powers of the Green Lantern of Earth. Unfortunately, the ring doesn’t come with instructions – but it does come with baggage, like a horde of interplanetary killers bent on eliminating every Green Lantern in the universe. Now, with the aid of the light-hearted Green Arrow, Adam Strange and Hawkgirl, this reluctant soldier must journey into the heart of a galactic Rann/Thanagar war and somehow succeed where all other Green Lanterns have failed.
Beware My Power is slated to release on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and Digital on Tuesday, July 26. The 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack retails for $29.99 USD, while the standalone Blu-ray retails for $24.99. The film is directed by Jeff Wamester (Justice Society: World War II) from a script by John Semper (Static Shock) and Ernie Altbacker (Justice League Dark: Apokolips War).
In the animated feature, John Stewart is voiced by none other than Aldis Hodge, who is set to portray the character of Hawkman in the upcoming live-action DC film Black Adam. Hodge is joined in Beware My Power by Jimmi Simpson as Green Arrow, Ike Amadi as Martian Manhunter, Brian Bloom as Adam Strange, Jamie Gray Hyder as Hawkgirl, Mara Junot as Lyssa Drak and Banth Dar, Jason J. Lewis as Ganthet and Captain Kantus, Keesha Sharp as Vixen, Simon Templeman as Sardath and Console Voice, Rick D. Wasserman as Sinestro, Sunil Malhotra as Power Ring and Rannian Commander. Nolan North provides additional voices.
