Donny Cates, Ryan Stegman Drop Cryptic Teaser for Next Project

Writer Donny Cates and artist Ryan Stegman share a cryptic teaser for an upcoming comic project following their departure from Marvel’s Venom.

Collaborators Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman have begun to tease fans with their next project following the conclusion of their run on Venom.

The duo both shared a cryptic piece of teaser artwork on Twitter. Cates captioned his tweet with the phrase, “This story isn’t over. I’m not done… …they don’t get to walk away #StayTuned” while Stegman captionED his post, “TRANSMISSION COMPLETE…FOR NOW.”

Many followers noticed a similarity between the logo on the teaser and the logo for the mobile game Marvel Strike Force. However, Cates has already debunked those theories with a simple “No” when directly asked on Twitter. With the release of September 2021 solicitations this month, fans will more than likely receive an answer to what this new comic book project could be.

Cates and Stegman began their collaboration on Venom in 2018. Over the next few years, the Venom creative team has redefined the symbiote mythos in the Marvel Universe while spearheading the event series’ Absolute Carnage and King in Black. Marvel already announced Donny Cates’ next project will be Hulk with artists Ryan Ottley and Frank Martin.
