Dick Grayson Is Accused of Murder in New Nightwing #80 Preview

Nightwing writer Tom Taylor shares a new preview for issue #80, in which police question Dick Grayson about the recent string of murders in Blüdhaven.

Last month, DC Comics released a preview for Nightwing #80, in which main protagonist Dick Grayson/Nightwing gets an assist from a fellow Robin, Tim Drake. With Nightwing #80 slated for release this Tuesday, May 18, series writer Tom Taylor has shared another sneak peek at the issue.

Nightwing #80 serves as part three of Taylor and artist Bruno Redondo’s “Leaping into the Light” arc. The issue is set to introduce Heartless, a new villain who “stalks the back alleys of Blüdhaven, removing the hearts of the city’s most vulnerable.” The new preview shared by Taylor on Twitter sees Blüdhaven police investigating the recent string of bizarre murders. Problem is, their prime suspect is none other than Dick Grayson.

“Check it! A preview of our Nightwing #80. Out Tuesday,” Taylor wrote. The preview sees Dick waking up to the sound of his dog Haley (aka Bitewing) barking. He soon realizes the police are at his door, and have questions pertaining to one of Heartless’ latest victims, whom Dick has a connection to.” Realizing the severity of the situation, Dick phones Barbara Gordon, as she’s his only alibi.
