DC’s Infinite Frontier Gives Wonder Woman a Radically New Look

Wonder Woman gets a new role in the godsphere (and a new look) in Infinite Frontier #0, with her story continuing in Valhalla in Wonder Woman #770.

Wonder Woman is in for some big changes as part of DC Comics’ Infinite Frontier initiative.

The synopsis for Infinite Frontier #0 teases Wonder Woman settling “into a new role in the godsphere,” with John Timms’ variant cover for the issue showing off a brand-new outfit for the superhero. Furthermore, Diana Prince’s role in Infinite Frontier doesn’t stop there, with the solicitation for Wonder Woman #770 promising that she will soon find herself in the Norse afterlife of Valhalla — and no idea how she got there.

“There’s a framing device I’m working on, starring Wonder Woman and the Spectre, and we get to see sort of this sneak peek glimpse of what’s happening, and we get to play around with these big toys and have some fun, getting a good lead-in to 2021 for DC and beyond,” Infinite Frontier #0 co-writer Joshua Williamson said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

“The thing we’re doing with Wonder Woman and the Spectre, that’s written by me, Scott [Snyder] and James [Tynion IV] was drawn by John Timms, and that pretty much immediately picks up some of the pieces from Death Metal, and it lets us move that ball forward a little bit and show kind of what’s going on with Wonder Woman and certain parts of the DCU,” Williamson continued. “They act as our POV characters, they act as our witnesses, to this new DCU — I say “new DCU,” but it’s the same DCU fans love, it’s just time to move and to do like this next stage.”
