Artist Todd Nauck’s wraparound variant cover for December’s King in Black #1 features every Marvel Comics symbiote, ever.
Artist Todd Nauck and colorist Rachelle Rosenberg’s wraparound variant cover for the first issue of Marvel Comics’ upcoming five-part event series King in Black features a symbiote family reunion, showcasing every Klyntar to ever grace the House of Ideas’ pages.
The God of the Symbiotes himself, Knull, has a strong presence on this cover. He is joined by an array of fan-favorite symbiotic characters, not to mention plenty of deep cuts. From A-listers such as Venom and Carnage to the likes of Gwenom, Scream, Toxin, Anti-Venom, Agent Venom and even Venomsaurus, among many others, the gang really is all here.
“After a campaign across the galaxy, Knull’s death march arrives to Earth and, worse yet, he hasn’t come alone!” the official synopsis for King in Black #1 reads. “With an army of hundreds of thousands of symbiote dragons at his command, the King in Black is a force unlike any Earth’s heroes have ever faced. Eddie Brock, aka Venom has seen firsthand the chaos that even one of Knull’s symbiotic monsters can wreak — will he survive an encounter with the God of the Abyss himself? From Donny Cates, Ryan Stegman, JP Mayer, Frank Martin and VC’s Clayton Cowles comes the definitive chapter in their two-year-long Venom saga that changed everything you thought you knew about symbiotes!”
Written by Donny Cates and illustrated by Ryan Stegman, King in Black #1 goes on sale Dec. 2 from Marvel Comics.
