Javicia Leslie’s Ryan Wilder Debuts Next Week, in Batgirl #50

Before Javicia Leslie suits up as The CW’s Batwoman, her Ryan Wilder character will make her DC debut in the extra-sized Batgirl #50 final issue.

Javicia Leslie, the new star of The CW’s Batwoman, will see her original character, Ryan Wilder, make her DC Comics debut in next week’s extra-sized Batgirl #50.

DC has released a preview for Batgirl #50 by writer Cecil Castellucci and artists Aneke, Marguerite Sauvage and Emanuela Lupacchino, the final issue of Barbara Gordon’s DC series. The final story arcs of Batgirl have shown Barbara Gordon join the rest of the Bat-Family for “The Joker War,” while also fighting her brother, James Gordon, Jr., who seemingly died at her hands. While Batgirl wraps up that storyline, the title will also introduce Ryan Wilder, teasing a possible role for the new CW hero in future DC stories.
