Popular manga Bleach’s final arc, the Thousand-Year Blood War, will be getting an anime adaptation as part of the franchise’s 20th anniversary celebrations!
This news marks eight years since the conclusion of the original TV anime. The Thousand-Year Blood War will see a resolution to the mystery behind protagonist Ichigo’s roots, set against the background of the historic Shinigami and Quincy conflict.
Another part of the 20th anniversary celebration will be an anime adaptation of Kubo’s latest work, a one-shot manga titled Burn the Witch.
In addition, an exhibition of Bleach artwork will take place in winter 2021.
Originally a manga that ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2001 to 2015, Bleach is a hit franchise that has received countless movie, video game and musical adaptations over the years.
