The latest anime from Cowboy Bebop’s Watanabe Shinichirou and Bones, CAROLE & TUESDAY, airs from April 2019.
Casting for three more characters has now been confirmed: Horiuchi Kenyuu as Dahlia, Angela’s manager, Miyadera Tomoko as Valerie, a prominent politician who is also Tuesday’s mother, and and Sakurai Takahiro as Spencer, Tuesday’s older brother.
In addition to the casting announcements, the anime also released a behind the scenes video of the production process.
The CAROLE & TUESDAY project was launched in celebration of animation studio Bones’ 20th anniversary as well as the 10th anniversary of Flying Dog. The series is set in a world in which humanity has migrated to Mars and AI works dominate the majority of culture produced. Carole is a tough girl living in the city while Tuesday is a girl from a wealthy family living in a provincial town. A chance meeting brings them together as they pursue their dream of making it as musicians.
CAROLE & TUESDAY airs as part of Fuji TV’s +Ultra block from Apr. 10 and will be available for online streaming in Japan via Netflix on the same day.
