Set to air from Apr. 10, original anime CAROLE & TUESDAY has revealed not only a second key visual and a new promotional video, but also its main cast plus opening and ending theme information!
Shimabukuro Miyuri and Ichinose Kana, both relative newcomers to the industry, will play protagonists Carole and Tuesday respectively. Other cast members announced include Otsuka Akio as Gus, Irino Miyu as Roddy, Uesaka Sumire as Angela, Kamiya Hiroshi as Tao and Miyano Mamoru as Ertegun.
As the winners of a global audition held in 2018, Nai Br.XX and Celeina Ann will perform the opening and ending theme songs, titled “Kiss Me” and “Hold Me Now” respectively.
CAROLE & TUESDAY is set in the future, fifty years after humans have begun to migrate to Mars. With AI dominating the majority of culture produced, two girls of different background are nevertheless brought together by their love of music.
Directed by Cowboy Bebop‘s Watanabe Shinichirou, the series marks the 20th anniversary of anime studio Bones and 10th anniversary of record label FlyingDog and is set to run for two seasons. The president of Bones, Minami Masahiko, will be serving as the anime’s producer, with manga artist Kubonouchi Eisaku providing original character designs and FlyingDog Inc. in charge of music.
CAROLE & TUESDAY is slated to begin broadcasts in Japan from Apr. 11 on Fuji TV’s +Ultra time slot and Netflix.
