Beastars, a popular manga by Itagaki Paru which won the 2018 Manga Taisho award, will be getting a TV anime adaptation!
Itagaki’s manga is set in a world of anthropomorphised animals divided into “herbivores” and “carnivores”. The series begins with the killing of an alpaca at Cherryton School where lead character Legosi, a large gray wolf, is a boarder. At the school, the various animal residents experience many kinds of anxieties from discrimination to love and weakness.
The just released teaser trailer produced by Orange, who will be animating the series, features Legosi’s meeting with dwarf rabbit Haru.
Further information including broadcast dates and casting details will be announced at a later date.
