Popular light novel series Saekano will be hitting cinema screens in autumn 2019 with a movie titled Saenai Heroine no Sodate-kata fine!
Adapted from the popular light novel series written by Maruto Fumiaki and illustrated by Misaki Kurehito, Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend follows regular high school boy (and also otaku) Aki Tomoya as he teams up with a collection of female classmates to create an otome game featuring a unnoticeable heroine. The series was first adapted into a TV anime in 2015 with Season 2 following in 2017.
The movie was first announced at the Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend Fes. flat -glistening moment- event in December 2017. The autumn 2019 release date was confirmed at the Fantasia Bunko Daikanshasai event on Oct. 21 where a brand new key visual illustrated by Misaki Kurehito was also unveiled.
As confirmed via the official website, Kamei Kanta, the director for the TV anime will serve as chief director with CloverWorks handling production. Meanwhile, the original voice cast will be reprising their roles for the movie.
