Detective Conan Gets Two-Episode TV Special For Jan. 2019!

Detective Conan is set to receive two special episodes in Jan. 2019!

The two one-hour episodes will adapt the story of Kurenai no Shugakuryokou-hen, a short manga that was published to commemorate the milestone of 1000 chapters. The two episodes will air on Jan. 5 and Jan. 12.

The special will follow the students of Teitan High School on their field trip in Kyoto as they encounter serial murders in the area that have yet to be solved. Conan will be appearing rather larger than usual, having been changed back into his original high school boy form – but only temporarily. Fans can also expect to see other familiar characters like Hattori Heiji and Touyama Kazuha.

A new key visual showcases Shinichi and love interest Mouri Ran blushing tentatively at each other, hinting at further developments in their relationship.

Detective Conan: Kurenai no Shugakuryokou-hen is slated to air on Jan. 5 and 12.
