Based on the 1973 science fiction film of the same name written and directed by Michael Crichton, the acclaimed adaptation takes place in a near-future where human guests travel to a variety of resorts recreating different historical periods, including the titular Wild West park known as Westworld, with each environment fully staffed by android residents known as hosts programmed to serve their visitors’ every desire.
