DC Launches Statue Line Based on Dark Nights: Metal’s Evil Batmen

Your Batman collection is about to take a turn for the dark — and it won’t ever be the same again. Following the massive success of writer Scott Snyder and artist Greg Capullo’s Dark Nights: Metal series, it has now been announced that the comic event will spawn a whole line of new statues for all you collectors out there.

DC Collectibles has revealed that, starting in May 2019, fans will be able to get their hands of 7” figures of their favorite evil Batmen. Not only does this line include a deluxe version of The Batman Who Laughs and a statue of Batman with a Baby Darkseid, it will also feature all six other evil Batmen, from the Red Death and the Murder Machine to the Devastator.

The figures are all based on the stunning artwork of series artist Greg Capullo, on top of coming with their own respective bases that are meant to create unique displays with the whole line of figures. Plus, the statues will also come with a few interchangeable parts to make sure that you can display them differently.

“I knew Scott and I had created some really fun characters when we were doing Metal, Capullo said of the upcoming figures. “Seeing them brought to life in this way is an amazing feeling.”
