Lucifer Season 4 Casts Preacher Actor Graham McTavish

Gearing up for its hotly anticipated Season 4 revival on Netflix, Lucifer has recruited a familiar face from AMC’s Preacher.

TVLine reports that Graham McTavish, who plays the villainous Saint of Killers on Preacher, will also have a recurring role on Lucifer as Father Kinley.

The character is described as a deeply empathetic and revered priest who’s deeply committed to protecting his flock, and mankind, from evil, which may very well bring him into conflict with Tom Ellis’ Lucifer Morningstar.

News of McTavish’s casting follows quickly on that of Inbar Lavi (Imposters) as the biblical Eve, who promises to complicate the season when she seeks to reunite with her first love, who tempted her millennia ago: the devil himself.

Lucifer began production last week on Season 4, a mere three months after Fox officially canceled the cult supernatural police procedural. Netflix stepped up in June to save the series, to the celebration of cast and fans alike.

Based on the DC/Vertigo comics character of the same name, Lucifer stars Ellis as Lucifer Morningstar, who after becoming bored with his duties as Lord of Hell, relinquishes his throne and opens a piano bar in Los Angeles. There he gets his kicks helping the LAPD find and punish criminals.

The first three seasons of Lucifer are available to be stream on Hulu before moving to Netflix in time for the arrival of Season 4 sometime in 2019. The series stars Tom Ellis, Lauren German, Kevin Alejandro, D.B. Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Rachael Harris and Aimee Garcia.
